Let us help you renew or become a Notary. What appears to be a complicated process, really isn't if you take advantage of the services offered by us, and since our office is located in Lincoln we are able to file commissions daily with the Nebraska Secretary of State Office. Thousands of Nebraska Notaries have used our services to obtain bonds, stamps, and insurance and membership (one or all).
Services
Step 1: Order a Test by completing the New State Application (see below) and pay $30.00 State Testing Fee to the Secretary of State.
Upon receipt, the Secretary of State office will email you a test.
Therefore, all questions regarding your test should be made to the Secretary of State Notary Division, P.O.
Upon receipt of the above items, I will hand carry your paperwork, to The Secretary of State for processing.
The top portion of the Initial Application requires your name, address, and answer to a few questions.
A second test can be ordered after a 30 day wait period.
The second test will be a different test version.
If the applicant fails the second test, they must wait 30 days before trying again.
All other rules on application processing remain the same.
Applicants will only be advised that they passed or failed and the score they received on the test(s) in a written confirmation letter sent by mail.
It is a State of Nebraska Statute that you keep using your notary exactly as you have been.
If you choose that option, you can then change the name on your notary commission at renewal time.
